RESIDENTIAL (Rate 10)
Single-Phase Residential Service
APPLICABILITY:
Applicable for residential electric service to private residences, individual family apartments, or farms with individual loads no larger than 15.0 kW supplied through a single meter. Service is for the use of the customer and may not otherwise be shared or resold to others.
When a portion of a residence is used for other than residential purposes the appropriate non-residential service schedule will be applied.
CHARACTER OF SERVICE:
Alternating current single phase, 60 hertz. Power shall be delivered at the standard voltage available in the vicinity or agreed to by Distributor.
DAILY RATE:
Customer Facility Charge: $1.267 per customer per day, PLUS
Energy Charge: $13.31 cents per KWH for all KWH
MINIMUM MONTHLY CHARGE:
The minimum monthly charge shall be the Customer Facility Charge except for customers where a higher monthly minimum is required under Distributor’s standard policy because of Special Facilities affecting Distributor’s cost of rendering service.
PURCHASED POWER COST ADJUSTMENT (PPCA)
It is recognized that the wholesale rate applicable to Distributor’s wholesale purchases will be adjusted annually through a formulaic wholesale rate mechanism. This annual wholesale adjustment will be recovered through retail rates through the PPCA. PPCA adjustments will be reflected in the annual as defined by the PPCA rider.
TAX ADJUSTMENT
Billing under the above rate shall be subject to the Alabama State Utility Tax and State Franchise Tax and any new or additional tax or increase in existing tax imposed by any governmental authority upon the services rendered by Distributor.
TERMS OF PAYMENT
The above charges are net, the gross being ten percent higher. In the event the current monthly bill is not paid within fifteen days from the date of the bill, the gross charges shall apply.
PREPAYMENT
Customers may elect set up a prepayment account and purchase service on a prepaid basis, subject to the established rules and regulations of Distributor.
Administrative Charge: $1.00 per customer per month

This rate schedule is subject to change to include energy charges that will be differentiated based on wholesale costs and the time period in which energy is consumed by the customer.

SMALL BUSINESS (Rate 11- TEC 1A)
General Commercial Service
APPLICABILITY:
Applicable to all non-residential consumers for all uses subject to the established rules and regulations of Distributor, with a maximum metered monthly demand not to exceed 15.0 kW or energy usage not to exceed 8,000 kWh per month. Service to more than one premises shall not be combined. Service is for the use of the customer and may not otherwise be shared or resold to others.
CHARACTER OF SERVICE:
Alternating current single phase, 60 hertz. Power shall be delivered at the standard voltage available in the vicinity or agreed to by Distributor. Three phase service can be provided in accordance with Distributor service guidelines.
Customer Facility Charge: $1.34 per customer per day, PLUS
Energy Charge: $13.10 cents per KWH for all KWH

AUTOMATIC RATE CHANGE
When a consumer’s demand is higher than what their rate class is they will transition to the new rate and remain on rate for 12 consecutive months. If demand rate has been less than current demand rate for 12 consecutive months, consumer will revert to appropriate rate.

Alternating current, single phase or three-phase, 60 hertz Power shall be delivered at voltage available in the vicinity or agreed to by Distributor.

DETERMINATION OF BILLING DEMAND:
The billing demand shall be the maximum KVA demand established by the consumer for any fifteen minute interval during the month for which the bill is rendered, as indicated or recorded by a demand meter and adjusted for power factor as provided for below.
POWER FACTOR ADJUSTMENT:
The consumer agrees to maintain unity power factor as nearly as practicable. Demand charges will be adjusted for consumers with 25 KVA or more of measured demand to correct peak power factors lower than 85 percent.
MINIMUM MONTHLY CHARGE:
The minimum monthly charge shall be the highest one of the following charges:
- As specified in the contract for service
- The demand charge times 30 percent of the maximum demand in the past 12 months

SEASONAL SERVICE
A Customer who contracts for service on a seasonal basis shall be limited to 300 KVA and shall pay the above charges as adjusted plus an additional use charge equal to 15% of the above KVA and KWH charges. Distributor may require additional charges on a monthly basis during limited usage periods to provide the recovery of costs for customer-specific electrical facilities. Customers may arrange for seasonal testing during off-peak hours. For such Customers the MINIMUM BILL PROVISIONS shall not apply.
CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
- Delivery Point. If service is furnished at secondary voltage the delivery point shall be the metering point unless otherwise specified in the contract for service. All wiring pole lines and other electrical equipment beyond the metering point shall be considered the distribution system of consumer and shall be furnished and maintained by the consumer.
If service is furnished at the Distributor’s primary line voltage, the delivery point shall be the point of attachment of Distributor’s primary line to consumer’s transformer structure unless otherwise specified in the contract for service.
- Billing Arrangements Applicable to Primary Service. If service is furnished at primary distribution voltage, a discount of seven percent (7%) may apply to the demand and energy charges. However, the distributor will have the option to provide the required metering equipment for installation by customer’s in its secondary facilities and adding the estimated transformer losses to the metered kilowatt-hours and KVA demand.

Pilot Church Rate (Rates 20-21)

Applicable to Churches only for all uses subject to the established rules and regulations of Distributor.

Alternating current single phase or three phase, 60 hertz. Power shall be delivered at the standard voltage available in the vicinity or agreed to by Distributor.
DAILY RATE:
Customer Facility Charge: $1.85 per customer per day, PLUS (R20-R21)
Three-Phase Facility Charge: $0.457 per customer per day, PLUS (R21)
Flat Energy Charges 13.10 cents per KWH for all KWH (R20, R21)
DETERMINATION OF ON-PEAK AND OFF-PEAK TIMES
Summer Period (May through October)
- On-Peak – Hour beginning at 4:00 PM through hour ending 7:00 PM
- Off-Peak – all remaining hours
Winter Period (November through April)
- On-Peak – Hour beginning at 5:00 AM through hour ending 9:00 AM and Hour beginning 5:00 PM through hour ending 9:00 PM

APPLICABILITY:
Applicable to all Members that are engaged primarily in productive farming. Related residential service may be furnished through the same meter if desired.
Eligibility Requirements:
Eligible members must take service under Distributor Three-Phase General Service Rate Part B and billing demand must be 25 kVA or greater.
CHARACTER OF SERVICE:
Alternating current single phase, 60 hertz. Power shall be delivered at the standard voltage available in the vicinity or agreed to by Distributor.
DAILY RATE:
Customer Facility Charge: $1.85 per customer per day, PLUS
Demand Charge $6.55 per KVA of billing demand, PLUS
Energy Charge: .1145 cents per KWH for all KWH
MINIMUM MONTHLY CHARGE:

RATE ADJUSTMENTS
Qualifying members will receive a discount of 8.5% on effective energy charges as applied to the applicable rate.
TAX ADJUSTMENT
Application of Rider Adjustments shall be applied after Alabama State Utility and State Franchise Tax or any new or additional tax increase in existing tax imposed by any governmental authority upon the services rendered by cooperative have been determined.
TERM AND NOTICE
The term of this rate rider is not defined and is subject to change based on the needs of the Distributor as determined by the Board. Members eligible for this rider will be provided three (3) months written notices prior to any changes being implemented.
TRANSITION PERIOD
During the initial six (6) months of the application of this service rider, a Member’s power bill will be reviewed by the Distributor and compared to the cost of taking service under the previous rate schedule (e.g. Single-Phase General service). In instances where costs under the new rate structure (with applicable Rate Adjustment) results in a substantial increase, Distributor may elect to bill the Member at the lower cost, or provide a bill credit during the transition period.
